Egadi Islands; The three islands, Favignana, Levanzo e Marettimo that make up this small archipelago are situated off the coast of Trapani and are renowned for their beautiful coastlines and the crystalline sea that surrounds them. The islands have been inhabited since prehistoric times and they were the backdrop to an important historical event; the signing of the treaty which put an end to the first Punic war (241 B.C.). |  |
Agrigento; A city full of extraordinary archaeological, architectural and artistic riches. Founded in 581 B.C. it was one of the most important cities of Magna Grecia. The historic centre is in the typical Arabic conformation made up of many small streets and alleyways. Along a ridge you can see the remains of numerous temples, made of calc-tufa which offer a particularly suggestive view at sunrise and sunset when they become a beautiful gold colour |  |
